Jack: I’ve been given the exciting opportunity to be a photographer for WFTDA Global Champs, but I need your help
Roller derby photography is a passion project for me. I don’t charge for this work, simply because I love the sport and love being a part of the events, even when I’m not playing. This year our biggest tournament of the year, Global Champs is in Malmo, Sweden and I’ve been selected as one of the event photographers. I’m so excited for this opportunity, but as you can imagine, travel is expensive!
I’m incredibly appreciative of any donations and you can also support by purchasing something from my shop, or booking a photo shoot or commission with me.
Polly: I got picked up by AoA late in the season and have been invited to skate with them at Champs 2026!
I tried out for Rose City’s travel program back in January and didn’t quite make it, but that didn’t slow me down! I kept putting in work with my home team, started specializing on offense, and became home team Champs with my beloved GNR! Right before the end of home season, I was asked by travel team captains to come to practices and be evaluated, and after a little over a month, was officially asked to join the team.
My brand new team, the Axles of Annihilation had just become the first B team in history to qualify to go to Champs! This year, it is in Malmo, Sweden, which is terrifying and exhilarating (it will be my first time ever flying overseas!) This hasn’t left a lot of time for financial planning or saving, and I’ve been massively struggling to find regular work over the summer, so I could use any support people are able to give.
